Protein Diet
What is the Protein Diet?
The way that we add more fat to our bodies and how the protein diet makes it go away quickly is very easy to explain.
We get lots of carbohydrates and fat into our body each and every day from our meals, even if we eat healthy foods. If we don't burn these fats and carbohydrates (by physical exercise) our bodies will save the energy for later use and will store it as fat. In our western society it is difficult to avoid eating meals that are rich of carbohydrates and saturated fats. This makes it easy for all of us to get overweight, especially because we all have such busy lifes with barely time to burn off those calories.
If you start using our diet you will firstly lose fluids and a bit of muscle mass and your body will use all of your sugar reserves as a source of energy. This is just for the first 2 days of the diet and after that your body will start using fat as its sole and primary source of energy.
The protein diet gets rid of all of those excessive carbohydrates (including sugars) and saturated fats and adds more protein to your nutrition. These proteins are very important to the body, as they are the building blocks who take care of our muscles and organs in order for them to develope and recover after our daily efforts. Proteins will also not be stored as fat, but do supply energy.
Instead of the carbohydrate enriched meals that you are used to take, you will now eat 4-5 of our protein products per day such as shakes (puddings, cold and hot drinks, soups, omelettes, pancakes and more!) and bars. But we also have nice snacks for you, to make the diet more interesting! Please also eat 400 grams of vegetables each day and you are also allowed to eat a bit of meat or fish. This is phase 1 of the protein diet.
You body will need 2 to 3 days to get used to this diet and it needs those days before it starts burning fat. When your body does start burning fat, it will get into the phase that we call "ketosis". Now your fats will be burned while your muscles remain strong!
When you almost reached your target weight you will be going into phase 2 of the diet. This now gives you more space for meals with more carbohydrates. You are also allowed to eat fruit again. You will still be using about 3 of our protein products per day, but you now have some more diversity of foods to choose from.
Phase 3 is very similar to phase 2, but you can eat some more carbohydrates than in phase 2 and you can decrease our protein products per day some more.
When you reach phase 4, you can eat the way you want to eat and do not need to use our protein products every day. You can of course, it will help you stay in shape a lot easier!
Just make sure that you don't eat more calories each week than you will burn in a week. Of course now you can have pizza sometimes, but also make sure you do some physical exercise on a weekly basis. It will make up for all of those carbohydrates, satured fats and thus: calories! Don't make yourself have to go back to phase 1 again!
